NOTE: We currently only ship within New Zealand.

Rates:
- Free Shipping within 45km of Cambridge
- 45-70km of Cambridge - $80NZD

- North Island - $100 NZD/$190 NZD With Stools Included (Non Rural Delivery)

- South Island - $200 NZD/$299 NZD With Stools Included (Non Rural Delivery)

Orders are dispatched within 6-10 business days after placing your order. Furniture will be flat packed onto a pallet and plastic wrapped.

Your Chiefs Leaner will either be personally delivered by Black Dog Furniture or Mainfreight.

Heads up! If you're in a rural area, there'll be a bit of an extra charge for delivery...

But here's a hack: getting your furniture sent to your nearest Mainfreight Depot is usually a cheaper option.

Full payment is required for online purchases. Extra delivery charges may apply for rural or remote areas.

Lead Times
We’ll provide an estimated completion date at the time of ordering. Delays may occur and do not constitute a breach of contract; Black Dog Furniture is not liable for any disruptions or costs.

Cancellation
Cancelled orders may incur a 10% fee, deducted from the deposit.

Collection
Furniture can be collected from our showroom at 483 Peake Rd, Cambridge.

Delivery
Customers must inform us of any unusual delivery logistics (e.g., rural areas, restricted access). Extra charges may apply. Delays do not constitute a breach of contract.

Damage
Check your delivery before signing. If there are issues, note them on the delivery docket and only sign if you're satisfied. Notify us of any damage within 2 days at sales@blackdogfurniture.co.nz or 027 460 3419

The Black Dog Story.

Andy MacDonald started Black Dog Furniture over 25 years ago, naming it after his loyal companion Arnie, a black lab, who served as "director of operations" for sixteen years. What began as a manufacturer of dog beds and kennels has evolved into one of New Zealand's most iconic furniture brands.

Andy's background in shearing sheds and forestry instilled a passion for sustainable timber use. His signature creation—The Iconic Woolpress Leaner—was at first crafted by repurposing old Donald's Woolpresses. The original manufacturer granting him exclusive rights to their designs and history.

Today, these coveted pieces grace New Zealand's finest pubs, bars and homes.

Answer: We recommend you re-oil your Woolpress Leaner every 6-12 months to keep it in excellent condition. The water on top of your Leaner should bead like water on the bonnet of a car.

Here at Black Dog Furniture we include 500ml cans of our very own furniture oil with your purchase.

Answer: Yes, your Woolpress Leaner is made from Macrocarpa and treated ply which are both completely durable outdoors.

However we advise you not to place your Leaner on top of grass or stones as this can cause the wooden base to rot.

Answer: Yes! We ship all over New Zealand using Mainfreight.
