— Within 45 km of Cambridge: FREE
— Between 45–70 km of Cambridge: $80 NZD
— North Island (Non-Rural Delivery): $100 NZD standard / $190 NZD with stools included
— South Island (Non-Rural Delivery): $200 NZD standard / $299 NZD with stools included

Orders are dispatched within 6-10 business days after placing your order, and will either be personally delivered to you by us, or Mainfreight.

Full payment is required for online purchases. Extra delivery charges may apply for rural or remote areas.

Lead Times

Cancellation
Cancelled orders may incur a 10% fee, deducted from the deposit.

Collection
Furniture can be collected from our showroom at 483 Peake Rd, Cambridge.

Delivery
Customers must inform us of any unusual delivery logistics (e.g., rural areas, restricted access). Extra charges may apply. Delays do not constitute a breach of contract.

Damage
Check your delivery before signing. If there are issues, note them on the delivery docket and only sign if you're satisfied. Notify us of any damage within 2 days at sales@blackdogfurniture.co.nz or 027 460 3419

Answer: We recommend you re-oil your Woolpress Leaner every 6-12 months to keep it in excellent condition. The water on top of your Leaner should bead like water on the bonnet of a car.

Here at Black Dog Furniture, we include 500ml. cans of our very own furniture oil with your purchase.

Answer: Yes, your Woolpress Leaner is made from Macrocarpa and treated ply. Both are completely durable outdoors.

However, we advise you not to place your Leaner on top of grass or stones as this can cause the wooden base to rot.

Answer: Yes! We ship all over New Zealand using Mainfreight. Or if you're only within 45 km of Cambridge, we'll deliver to you directly for FREE!

Andy MacDonald started Black Dog Furniture over 25 years ago, naming it after his loyal companion Arnie, a black lab, who served as "director of operations" for sixteen years. What began as a manufacturer of dog beds and kennels has evolved into one of New Zealand's most iconic furniture brands.

Andy's background in shearing sheds and forestry instilled a passion for sustainable timber use. His signature creation—The Iconic Woolpress Leaner—was at first crafted by repurposing old Donald's Woolpresses. The original manufacturer granting him exclusive rights to their designs and history.
