Care & Maintenance
Each Woolpress Leaner is pre-oiled for protection. Follow these simple steps to keep your furniture looking great...

✅ Prevention
Avoid putting your Woolpress Leaner on grass, dirt, or loose stones for long periods to prevent the wooden base from rotting

✅ Oiling
Re-oil your furniture when it looks dry, ideally before summer and winter. More frequent oiling provides better protection

✅ Cleaning
Clean with warm water and mild soap, but avoid soaking. Dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners

NOTE: Reactions such as cracks and movement in timber are a natural part of the weathering process and add to its rustic character without compromising any of its strength or durability

We’ll provide an estimated completion date at the time of ordering. Delays may occur and do not constitute a breach of contract; Black Dog Furniture is not liable for any disruptions or costs.

Cancellation
Cancelled orders may incur a 10% fee, deducted from the deposit.

Collection
Furniture can be collected from our showroom at 483 Peake Rd, Cambridge.

Delivery
Customers must inform us of any unusual delivery logistics (e.g., rural areas, restricted access). Extra charges may apply. Delays do not constitute a breach of contract.

Damage

Frequently asked questions

Answer: We recommend you re-oil your Woolpress Leaner every 6-12 months to keep it in excellent condition. The water on top of your Leaner should bead like water on the bonnet of a car.

Here at Black Dog Furniture we include 500ml cans of our very own furniture oil with your purchase.

Answer: Yes, your Woolpress Leaner is made from Macrocarpa and treated ply which are both completely durable outdoors.

However we advise you not to place your Leaner on top of grass or stones as this can cause the wooden base to rot.

Answer: Yes! We ship all over New Zealand using Mainfreight.

Surcharges may apply to remote or rural deliveries.
